Share Issues

In advising the Board of a company of a share issue, several factors need to be considered:

  • Is an Initial Public Offering (IPO) the most suitable route, or could their objectives be achieved through some other method of raising capital?
  • Which is the appropriate market?
  • Who is involved in the process?
  • How long does the process take?
  • When is the most appropriate time to float?

If, having consulted advisers, the directors of a company or its shareholders decide that going public is not the most appropriate course of action, an alternative would be a private placement of shares to raise the necessary capital.

At Harts we can advise on the best option available to you.
