Management buy-out

There are many complex issues to resolve in order to complete a successful Management Buy-Out (MBO). It is important to ensure that the opportunity is grasped without disrupting the business and adversely affecting its ongoing trading performance.

Very few managers have the opportunity to buy the business that they manage, and those that do have rarely had previous experience of an MBO. We have extensive experience of these complex transactions and will provide the management team with the advice and support that they need throughout the buy-out process.

Our aim is to achieve a successful buy-out at a sensible price and with an appropriate financial structure. This will typically include:

• Advising the management team on the MBO process and approaching the vendors, assessing the viability of the proposition

• Establishing an appropriate deal structure and assisting in preparing a business plan for the management team to assist with raising finance
